Professor Wieslaw Jędrzejczak
Professor Wieslaw Wiktor Jędrzejczak – internist, hematologist, oncologist and transplant. In 1993 he was awarded the prize of the Foundation for Polish Science for his work on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of blood formation. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Internal Diseases at the Warsaw Medical University in the Central Hospital. He is a member of the Polish Society of Hematologists and Transfusionists, the Polish Transplantation Society, the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, the International Society of Experimental Hematology and the American Society of Hematology. Author of over 200 scientific papers and books, including “Memories of blood formation”, and numerous newspaper articles and columns.
